Hail Damage Repair
After a strong hailstorm, you’d probably want to look at your roof. You’ll likely find fragments of shingles, bruised material, and possible leak spots. Sometimes, you can patch up these small issues with caulk or seam patches. However, if another strong rain, hail, or snow storm passes through your home, it will likely cause irreparable damages to your roof requiring you to replace it in full.
Ropa Roofing is the trusted roofing contractor across Denver, Castle Rock, and its surrounding areas. Whether you had a minor or major hailstorm, we’ll inspect your roof FREE and provide you recommendations to improve its condition effectively.
Visible Signs of Hail Damage
Hail is the nightmare property owners wouldn’t want to face. Hail will puncture through any roofing material given it has a great velocity speed before hitting the roofing material. Here are visible damages you’ll find once you check it after the storm has passed.
Bruised Roof Material
You’ll see your roof shingles bruised with holes and shattered fragments spread around. Roofing membranes such as TPO or PVC will show signs of bruising. You can find them by touching the material and feeling a tomato-like tenderness to it.
Strong winds and hailstones will throw off the shingles of your roof and dislodge it from its tab. If you see a few shingles missing, you can quickly replace them with fresh ones. However, call us right away if an entire shingle section has gone missing.
If the shingles have been missing for a few hours throughout the duration of a hailstorm, the roofing underlayment will possibly receive damage. You will find some exposed bruises on the underlayment. However, hidden ones only select test methods we perform will detect during our FREE inspection.
